Deer & Vending Machine
This might seem an incongruous scene, but not so much in some parts of Japan, especially in Nara, where the sika deer roam freely within the large park, and can be fed with sika senbei (deer crackers). Once the capital of Japan, Nara is home to many important temples and shrines and legend has it that it was once protected by a god riding a white deer. They are considered heavenly, and so no-one minds when they hog the vending machines...
