Stroopwafel Girl

£65.00

A regular sized wood girl, who is dressed up in a waffle pattern dress, and to complete her outfit she is standing in a cup and saucer, with a stroopwafel (a thin, round waffle cookie made from two layers of sweet baked dough held together by syrup filling, first made in the city of Gouda in South Holland), on her head (which can also be placed on top of the cup when the girl stands separately).

Artist notes:
My pieces are painted in a naïve and simple style, with visible brush strokes and differing paint consistencies. It is important to note that these dolls are made from real wood which will have naturally occurring markings and grain, and sometimes there will be small amount of bleeding along the grain, or knots, which is to be expected when using untreated wood - please make sure you consult the pictures carefully before purchasing. Finished in a top coat of matt acrylic.

Wood girls are hand painted by me, a British artist, exploring patterns and scenes encountered by me on my travels and in daily life.

Wood girl stamped 'blue bear' underneath in red ink, and a bear head painted on the underside of the cup and saucer.

Wood girl: 14cm tall, total stacked height is 17.5cm high.
Please note: THIS IS NOT A TOY and should be kept out of the reach of children.
