Fundraiser for Gaza: kettle & mini scone set

£120

50% of the purchase price will be donated to Many Lands Mutual Aid, a vetted grassroots aid distribution project that puts your donations directly into the hands of displaced families in Gaza in the form of: weekly cash aid distribution, drinking water deliveries, community water wells, grocery, produce, fresh meat, prepared meal distribution and hygiene kits as well as transportation and community events.
Hussein and his team typically help between 30 and 60 families weekly.

A wood girl dressed up as a Japanese ironware style kettle, her head forming the lid. The kettle sits on a round 'stitched' coaster, with a painted bear signature underneath. Accompanying the kettle is a little blue and white plate and a mini scone girl. A wire 'steam' cloud is included with the set, which can be placed into the spout for a little extra life.

Artist notes:
My pieces are painted in a naïve and simple style, with visible brush strokes and differing paint consistencies. It is important to note that these dolls are made from real wood which will have naturally occurring markings and grain, and sometimes there will be small amount of bleeding along the grain, or knots, which is to be expected when using untreated wood - please make sure you consult the pictures carefully before purchasing. Finished in a top coat of matt acrylic.

Round turned wood shapes are altered and hand painted by me, a British artist, exploring patterns and scenes encountered by me on my travels and in daily life.

Kettle has 'blue bear' stamped underneath. Coaster painted with roaring bear on underside.
Kettle: approximately 16cm high.
Please note: THIS IS NOT A TOY and should be kept out of the reach of children.
