Artist's notes on inspiration and materials:
A vintage Japanese wooden bunny on wheels that had seen better days (see last photo). After sanding I decided to go with a more subtle colourway to suit autumn, and removed the strange pink turtle and the counting beads, adding instead a full moon and four new wheels.
This is a vintage piece which has been given a new lease of life, the new wheels are a little wibbly wobbly but it still rolls along. Finished in a top coat of matt acrylic.
Unsigned, as the original folk piece was unsigned.
Approximately 11cm high.
