waste-not frogs - chopstick rests II
A pair of porcelain frog chopstick rests in a brown tenmoku glaze.
Hand formed porcelain from the clay offcuts of larger pieces, which are hollowed out underneath to prevent cracking - the eyes are outlined with cobalt oxide and coated in a clear glaze, and the body is coated in one of three glazes - a soft matt black, a brown tenmoku or a light blue with hints of green. At least on of each pair has a flower stamp on the frog's bottom!
As with most of the things I make, my ceramic pieces retain the look of being handmade and this is a part of their charm. Please make sure you consult the pictures carefully and that you are happy with the piece before purchasing.
